Based in Edinburgh, I originally studied geology which led to working as an engineering geologist across the world. Following a career break, I decided to retrain as a herbalist like my great grandfather. This interest in botany paired with my passion for making led to creating a small business called Woolly Originals designing machine knit wool bags, initially using commercially dyed yarns then using ones I had botanically dyed myself.
In 2024, I decided to return to school to train as an artist so that I could explore ways to continue telling my stories of science, nature, the climate emergency and more. Hence, I have been attending Edinburgh College since August 2025 as a Foundation student. Where my next step is going to be placed is still to be decided!
