Info - I’ll be taking part in the end-of-year exhibition presented by the students of the UAL Foundation course 2026

Event - Botanical Dyes & Pigments on a Budget Talk

Location - Ginger Twist Studio, Montrose Terrace, Edinburgh

Date - 24 July 2025 at 6pm

Info - I will be giving a 60-minute talk with a Q&A session, covering all that you need to know to start plant dyeing small amounts of yarn in your kitchen on a limited budget. A workbook will be available to purchase as part of the talk for you to take away and use as your own dyeing diary. I will also discuss extracting pigments from plants to create your own artist materials. Booking via GTS website.

Event - Flora Edinensis Walk

Location - Saughton Park

Date - 14 June 2025 at 1:00pm - 3:30pm

Info - Artist, Anna Macleod with Katie May Anderson will be holding a walking performance around Saughton Park and along the Water of Leith, focussing on the connection between the Water and human health, resilience and cultural heritage. I will be giving a short talk as part of this event, discussing my relationship with the Water and its dye & medicinal plants. No booking required; just join us at 1pm at the Park.
